TEACHING

Kelly works in the studio individually with one student or with a very small group, in much the same style and spirit of the ateliers of 19th century Paris. Those interested in studying with her should write a note of inquiry to:

Kelly McCullough continues to refine a philosophy of seeing and a naturalistic method of painting used by many of the master European painters since the 17th century, including Reynolds, Lawrence and Sargent. Following sight-size technique, the artist places her canvas at a given distance from her subject or object, frequently moves back and forth between the two, and typically employs quick, loose brush strokes to develop her painting.

In addition to her primary commitment to painting she is an accomplished photographer and has a BFA in photography from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia.
